Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

Thirty-eight junior councillors cast their votes last week after 22 nominations were received for the junior mayor position and 19 for deputy junior mayor.

Each nominee talked about why they should be elected and the incumbents will serve for 12 months.

The City of Mandurah Junior Council – consisting of representatives from the 19 primary schools in Mandurah – was established in 2002 to give young people a voice in the community.
