Mandurah: man (28) pleads guilty to indecent assault of woman in her 60s

A 28-year-old man pleaded guilty in Mandurah Magistrates Court today to indecently assaulting a Silver Sands woman aged in her 60s.

Daniel Allen Forbes also pleaded guilty to performing an obscene act on himself while in police custody.

The act occurred in the presence of police officers who had arrested him in relation to another matter.

The incidents occurred on July 30 this year.

The court heard that he was armed with a baseball bat in Greenfields on the same night.

Magistrate Vivien Edwards put off sentencing in order for Forbes to complete a psychiatric and pre-sentence report.

He will be sentenced in December.

Forbes will also be sentenced for breaching a community order 27 times, burglary, fraud and stealing.
