Mandurah man charged for allegedly using mirror to shine light at police plane

POLICE have charged a Mandurah man after he allegedly shone a light into a police plane to obstruct the pilot from flying yesterday afternoon.

Police claim about 1.25pm on April 15, officers in the plane reported the man using a mirror to reflect the sun at the plane in an attempt to hinder the pilot.

Officers on the ground attended a house in Mandurah and spoke to the only person at the property.

The mirror was located and seized.

A 79-year-old man was charged with causing fear or alarm to the driver of conveyance or others.
