Mandurah: man charged over Halls Head stabbing

MANDURAH Detectives have charged an 18-year-old Singleton man over an altercation with a 19-year-old man in Halls Head on July 23.

It will be alleged the 18-year-old man was walking along Daydream Plaza with a group of people, when rocks and stones were thrown towards the address damaging parked vehicles.

A group of people emerged from the house armed with bottles, and an altercation occurred between the victim and offender.

During the altercation, the 19-year-old victim received a stab wound to his abdomen and a large laceration to his face.

He was taken to RPH with serious injuries and underwent emergency surgery.

On July 27, police executed a search warrant at a Singleton address and located the large knife hidden in a bin.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the address and has been charged with grievous bodily harm and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today .
