Mandurah: man drove wrong way through roundabout; had firearm during road rage incident

A MAN drove the wrong way around a roundabout with a firearm in his possession during a road rage incident in Mandurah, according to police.

Police are investigating the incident which took near Peelwood Parade at the intersection of Solandri Turn in Halls Head yesterday (March 27).

About 7.45am, a man was driving his car and trailer along Peelwood Parade while heading south.

A dark coloured sedan driven by a man pulled out from a side street, Decora Way.

The car turned north on to Peelwood Parade, and where the back end of the car appeared to lose control.

The victim shouted at the offender and continued south along Peelwood Parade.

The offender performed a U-turn and then drove south in the same direction as the victim.

At Solandri Turn roundabout, the offender drove the wrong way around the roundabout to further confront him.

The offender used a cloth to disguise his head and face and the witness said he had a firearm before driving off in an unknown direction.

The offender is described as being in his late teens to early 20s.
