Mandurah: man fined for obstructing speed camera operator

A MAN who parked his car in front of a speed camera along Pinjarra Road was fined $100 when he appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court.

John Patrick Thomson, who represented himself, pleaded guilty on Friday to obstructing a WA police speed camera. .

Police prosecutor Glen Phillips said Thomson saw a speed camera while driving along Pinjarra Road at 11.26am on March 18, 2018.

He said Thomson stopped and parked his car in front of the camera, obstructing its view.

He was captured on the speed camera.

Magistrate Ryan Bluestein fined him $100.
