A MAN has pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child exploitation material in Mandurah Magistrates Court today .

He also pleaded guilty to five counts of failing to comply with reporting obligations.

Defence lawyer Trent Petherick asked Magistrate Anne Longden to close the court for the man’s case but she denied the request.

“I’m not sure why I should deviate from normal processes and ask pleas,” she said.

No facts on what was alleged to have happened were disclosed to the court.

Magistrate Anne Longden ordered a pre-sentence report and psychological report to be conducted.

He will next appear in Perth District Court on October 26.

His bail was extended.
