Mandurah MLA takes to social media to refute claims of ill health

ONE of WA’s most popular politicians has taken to social media today to convince his constituents that he is fighting fit.

Mandurah MLA David Templeman said he was spurred to create the post after hearing rumours that he is gravely ill.

Mr Templeman said he was worried people might approach his family with the rumours.

“It’s totally false and spurred me on to work harder to keep my seat,” he said.

“I don’t know where it’s come from and can’t understand why they’re saying it.”

As proof of his good health Mr Templeman said he doorknocked a 100 extra houses today.

“I’ve come to recognise my political opponents will do anything,” he said.

“I think it’s a bit low, but I’m even more committed to winning.

“I’m even losing a bit of weight from doorknocking.”

Labor Party member, Mr Templeman, has held the seat of Mandurah for more than 15 years.
