Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

MANDURAH woman Peggy Lombardi hosted Mandurah’s first poodle fest last weekend when more than 100 poodles and their owners travelled from as far as Yanchep and Albany to Hall Park, despite a gloomy weather forecast.

Events were held in a range of categories, from the youngest to the oldest poodle. best retriever, best greeter and best outfit.

When the weather worsened, the poodle fest transferred from the park to an area under the Mandurah bridge which Ms Lombardi said turned out to be the perfect venue with plenty of shelter and easy access to the dog park.
