Victoria RificiMandurah Coastal Times

MANDURAH foreshore’s Murphy’s Irish Pub donated all proceeds from its weekly meat raffles to raise more than $2000 for Legacy WA in April.

The Legacy bear made a special appearance each Friday, and the response and generosity of the staff and patrons was extraordinary.

Legacy WA executive officer Robert Ratkovcic said the amount of support shown by the local community was heart warming.

“Thanks to Murphy’s, this amount of money could really help provide practical support for a Legacy family whether that be assisting with school fees or helping a number of widows pay their winter heating bills,” Mr Ratkovcic said.

In WA alone, Legacy cares for 6000 widows and widowers, 46 Legacy Children who have lost a serving parent or guardian and 24 people living with disability.
