“We make sure seniors have a voice, give suggestions and accommodate that.”

Ms Becker said the Mandurah group of about 30 seniors would help its members with superannuation, pension, housing, and aged care issues.

“We have bimonthly meetings every second Monday on even months, in-between months we have outings, and breakfast throughout the year for socialising,” she said.

“We have a research section in Victoria so if our members come to us with any ideas, we will take the ideas to the research centre prior taking them to Parliament.

“We gather our facts and figures first and then bring them to Parliament.”

Mandurah’s National Seniors Australia group will have a conference at Mandurah Bowling Club on Monday

Mr Williams will open the conference at 9.15am and the event will finish at 3pm.

Ms Becker said all were welcome to attend.

“We hope we get some of the public involved as we are trying to recruit new members,” Ms Becker said.
