Mandurah painter Ian Glen recognised as one of the best

MANDURAH-based painter Ian Glen has been recognised as one of the industry’s best for his outstanding work in the wall coverings category.

The Master Painters and Decorators Australia Awards for Excellence awards acknowledge and reward the skill and achievements of WA-registered painting contractors.

The seven award categories recognise and celebrate quality tradesmanship and exceptional business practice including repaints, wood care, decorative finishes and new construction.

Mr Glen, from Mandurah Painters and Decorators, has been a member of the Dulux Accredited Program for two years and specialises in Tier 1 painting and wall-covering install.

He won the award for the installation of more than 67,000 sq m of wall coverings from commercial vinyl to hand made silks at the new Crown Towers Perth.

Dulux Accredited Program manager Craig Blinco said the awards were highly regarded in the industry.

“The win is well-deserved – Ian and his team’s hard work has paid off,’’ he said.
