Mandurah perfect place to offer new e-bike

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

AFTER three years of prototyping, entrepreneur Julian Ilich is launching the first edition of his e-bike.

He hopes the e-bike will become WA’s new urban transport solution.

Tiller Rides is inviting Mandurah residents to be the first to use the new generation, everyday roadster via a special pre-release.

Mr Illich said he would target Mandurah, where there were many retirees for whom ebikes could reduce effort and the cost of living.

“The train station is out of town and the new bike is an easy and healthy way to get there and back,’’ he said.

“Mandurah also has great riverside parks and a lifestyle that suits active transport.”

Features of the bike include integrated lights, a unique, one-size-fits-all moulded aluminum frame, a five-part antitheft system including alarm and GPS tracking, front and rear carriers, a USB charging outlet, a removable 50km range battery and a grease-free belt drive.
