MANDURAH MLA and WA Minister for Culture and the Arts David Templeman has praised the board and management of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

Mr Templeman said the centre was acknowledged nationally and throughout WA as a leading community arts facility that continued to deliver high quality productions, exhibitions, events and festivals to the Peel region.

“In my frequent meetings with many culture and the arts organisations and peak bodies, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre is pointed to as a very highly regarded community hub and leader in its field,’’ he said.

He praised board chairman Rhys Williams, the board and staff for their work over many years in promoting the importance of culture and the arts in the growing Peel region.

“I also want to acknowledge the tremendous support the Friends of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre volunteers have given the centre for more than 20 years,” he said.

“The centre simply could not operate without these magnificent volunteers.”

“Great things are happening at the centre and I applaud everyone connected to its success into the future.”
