Mandurah residents encouraged to nominate for Western Australian of the Year Awards

NOMINATIONS for the 2017 Western Australian of the Year Awards are now open.

Residents are asked to put forward someone they believe to be worthy of the honour.

Each of the category winners will be announced on June 2 when the WA Day weekend will officially kick off, with the overall winner of all seven categories to be declared as Western Australian of the Year.

Celebrate WA is looking for individuals from all walks of life to be nominated for the awards and nominees do not need to be high profile as it is contributions to all levels of our community that matters the most.

The seven Award categories include Aboriginal, Arts and Culture, Business, Community, Professions, Sport and Youth.
