Mandurah Southern Districts Bush Fire Brigarde volunteers, including 95-year-old Irene Demasson, recognised for service

DEDICATED and passionate volunteers across the country will be recognised this week as part of National Volunteer Week.

In the lead up to National Volunteer Week, a number of members of Mandurah Southern Districts Bush Fire Brigade were recognised at the Brigade’s annual dinner.

They were Ann Graham, Dunk Graham, Paul Stokman (all 25 years), Kaye Toussaint and Brian Toussaint (both 30).

Ninety five-year-old Irene Demasson was recognised for 29 years service to the legal field and said it “kept her out of mischief”.

City of Mandurah Mayor Marina Vergone said volunteers played a vital role in the community.
