DOUBLE demerits will apply over the Anzac Day long weekend and police will be out enforcing the message please stay safe on the roads.
Its typically a time of high danger and we have strategies in place to combat the inevitable drink driving and speeding, mobile phone use and so on.
If you are going away, tell your neighbours youre going so they can keep an eye on your house and take precautions such as bringing in your bins and keeping some lights on.
I wish you well over the break for a safe and happy time with your family while we reflect on the diggers who sacrificed so much all those years ago.
-Gosnells Police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Ray Thompson
