MANDURAH Taxis has been working with Bizlink Disability Employment and ORS Group Rehabilitation Providers to provide more employment opportunities for people to get into the workforce.
In the past 12 months Mandurah Taxis has employed six people in various positions.
Business manager Julie Murray said everyone should have an opportunity to be employed and enjoy all the benefits that provides for individuals and communities.

READ NOW“Being employed assists with better mental and physical health and social contacts,” she said.
Mandurah Taxis is also assisting South Metro Tafe, Mandurah Catholic College and SMYL Community Services to provide work experience placements and traineeship positions in both our mechanical workshop and office administration areas.
“This year we have provided workplace training positions for 14 students,” she said.
“This work experience provides young people with an opportunity to gain practical skills they can use when they enter the workforce.
“It assists them to become confident in areas such as workplace communication, workplace safety, time management and many other skills.”
Mandurah Taxis are also offering employment positions for drivers.
