Mandurah teacher wins WA Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer of the Year

Ms Otway took out the category in the WA Education Awards.

She won $25,000, with 50 per cent for professional development and 50 per cent cash.

Ms Otway gives students confidence to believe in their abilities and dreams. She has reshaped her role of Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer to become a vital part of the school and community, building strong connections with parents and families.
