Mandurah: teenagers charged with threatening a taxi driver with a hammer

Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

MANDURAH Detectives have charged three people after a taxi driver was threatened with a hammer and robbed.

Police claim four males entered a taxi, being driven by a 24-year-old man in Erskine, at about 11.40pm on Thursday. They were driven to Olive Road in Falcon.

It will be alleged one of the group produced a hammer before they stole money from the taxi. The taxi driver managed to disarm the men, before the four ran from the area.

Two 18-year-old men from Coodanup have each been charged with aggravated armed robbery. A 17-year-old boy of Halls Head has also been charged with aggravated armed robbery.
