Mandurah teens believe man acting erratically on the bus had a gun

THERE is a heavy police presence in Mandurah this morning, after two girls believe a man acting erratically on the bus, might have had a gun in his possession.

There is no confirmation if the gun was real or a toy.

The Coodanup College students were on the bus to school when the man began to behave in an unpredictable manner.

Police were called and were interviewing the visibly shaken students at Mandurah Train Station at 7.30am.

One girl said the man left the bus and walked into town.

A police media spokeswoman urged calm and said police would be looking for the man.

However, she said they could not confirm if the gun was real or not.

The spokeswoman said the man did not directly threaten the students.

Hundreds of Mandurah students use the bus and train in the morning to go to school.
