MANDURAH Telstra users are set to receive upgraded services and coverage for the scorching summer period.

Mobile coverage is now a considered factor for holiday makers and Mandurah ticks all the right boxes when travelling within the State.

Pureprofile research conducted a study among 1250 Australians and found West Australians `most anxious about being out of mobile range when posting holiday photos.

Telstra’s Area General Manager Boyd Brown said to meet this demand Telstra has boosted capacity on their local mobile network.

“Research found 52 per cent of those interviewed will only holiday in areas with guaranteed mobile coverage,” he said,

“Mandurah is a Mecca with its magnificent estuary and river systems, spectacular holiday homes on the canals and laid-back lifestyle so it’s critical that people have the mobile coverage so they don’t miss a moment.”

Mr Brown said every year there is more demand from Telstra users for mobile service on beaches, national parks and camping spots around the state.

“Interestingly, Western Australians are also some of the most trusting in the nation with 50 per cent relying on a photo or recommendation they saw on social media in order to pick their holiday destination,” he said.

“It’s critical that people have the mobile coverage so they don’t miss a moment.”
