OCTOBER will be buzzing in the Peel region when delegates from WA and beyond converge on Mandurah for the three-day 2017 WA Regional Arts Summit.
The summit was launched at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre this morning by Local Government, Heritage, and Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman.
Mr Templeman said Mandurah was selected as the location for the arts summit due to its growing reputation as an innovative and leading arts and cultural hub.

READ NOWHe said the Peel Region would have a great opportunity to showcase its attractions at the summit and share with delegates the quality of its products.
“We have a number of things going for us: population growth, a huge diversity of people calling the Peel region home and presenting an opportunity where arts and culture are not just seen as an ad-on but a part of our lifestyle,’’ he said.
It is 20 years since Mandurah Performing Arts Centre opened and Mr Templeman paid tribute to the Court Government who made the centre possible and saw the importance of such a building in the region.
Four of the thought-provoking and visual works of body art from Wearable Art Mandurah in June were also modelled.
