A MANDURAH travel agency that launched only three years ago was named Agent of the Year at an international conference in the United States last week.

Annette Porter, owner of Mandurah Travel & Cruise, was on hand to collect the award for Agent of the Year; Cruise at The W Hotel, San Francisco.

Ms Porter said the award reflected the dedication of the agency’s staff and the strength of the cruise sector to the global travel industry.

“Cruising is a very large part of our business and with new and different ships coming out all the time it is essential to keep up to date with training courses, ship inspections and of course the occasional cruise,’’ she said.
