AUSTRALIAN trees have been much maligned when considered within urban spaces.

At a presentation in Mandurah next week, WA Scientist of the Year 2016 Professor Kingsley Dixon will use examples from Kings Park and beyond to show how important native trees are for a sense of place, native animals and national identity.

Urban Trees a Place for Australian Natives has been arranged by Mandurah Tree Advocates and is at the City of Mandurah (Tuckey Room) on Friday, November 11 at 5pm.
