Mandurah’s Passages Centre couches serious message on homelessness in fun

SURF’S up, or at least it was on Thursday when Passages Youth Resource Centre hosted couch surfing time trials as part of Homelessness Week on the eastern foreshore.

The couches were decorated by local young people and organisations.

For the past 10 years, Westaus Crisis and Welfare Services has co-ordinated the homelessness awareness event, the biggest of its kind outside Perth.

Despite cold, wet and windy weather, services and businesses donated information, clothing, food, toiletries and other necessities for the homeless.
