A MEADOW Springs-based plumber and gas fitting apprentice has won the Most Improved Apprentice Award at the 2018 ABN Training Apprentice Awards held by building and construction company the ABN Group.

Liam Giddens (19) was recognised for his consistently high level of leadership, safety behaviours and skill.

“When I finish my apprenticeship I really want to stay on with the ABN Group and take on my own apprentices,’’ he said.

“The mentoring and support I’ve received from my trainers has been incredible so I’d like to share that with other young tradespeople.’’
