GP Down South spokeswoman Eleanor Britton said the combined campus had been a success and Mental Health Week can “assist in breaking down barriers”.

“The centre helps forge strong links and also helps to keep patients out of the hospital,” she said.

The success has brought about pressure, with the centre taking thousands of appointments every week.

Ms Britton said the centre “desperately” needs a care coordination team to continue to give patients the best care.

The Hub is looking for $300,000 per year to fund the team which will work with all nine organisations.
