Mental health workers from throughout the Peel region preparing for Wellness Wednesday

Peel Health Campus community engagement and policy manager Kay Williams shared the causal factors of mental health issues with Mandurah Districts Rotary Club members.

She said many mental health issues stemmed from drug and alcohol use, poverty and domestic violence.

Ms Williams said many people in the community were experiencing mental health issues, but did not know who or where to turn to for help.

Organisers hope the Wellness Wednesday event will go a long way towards providing support to people to assist them in overcoming their mental health issues.

Mandurah Districts Rotary has donated $1000 towards the cost of the event.
