The craft-orientated seniors have been meeting regularly to create individual handmade wreaths that will be the focal point of the remembrance commemorations at the home.

Service manager Christina Venables said the craft group was a talented bunch of seniors.

“Our residents have been making the most wonderful wreaths which will be used during our ceremony to remember those who served our country during times of conflict and crisis and to reflect on their sacrifices,” she said.

“The ladies who are carefully making them are a truly dedicated group who are incredibly determined and strong.”

Residents at Mercy Place Mandurah will commemorate Anzac Day by holding a small service on April 22.

Another wreath made by residents will also be laid at Mandurah War Memorial.
