Mr Murray Cowper has called on Planning Minister John Day to intervene to revitalise the Nambeelup development.
He said the State Planning Commission and complying agencies had deliberately delayed the Nambeelup development on all kinds of excuses for some years.
‘The Murray Shire, myself and others have been pushing Planning and other agencies to get on with this development because of the rapidly increasing shortage of land for industrial development,” he said.
‘A number of developers have already succumbed to needless, excessive government costs and delays and others continue to be hit with contentious environmental and other claims to relinquish more and more of their private land.’
