The relocation is part of a new structure to ensure all constituents living in the South- West electorate have stronger and more accessible political representation.
Mr Hallett said Bunbury was well serviced with both Upper and Lower House Liberal MPs and he believed it was reasonable that after two terms of Parliament in Bunbury, constituents in the Peel Region have a Liberal Upper House member close to their home town.
‘With Liberal MLCs Robyn McSweeney based in Albany and Barry House in Margaret River, Mandurah seemed the obvious choice to ensure members do not have to travel too far to meet with their Liberal Upper House Member,” he said.
