Moped riding teens injured during Mandurah road rage attack

TWO teenage boys were injured after they were thrown from their moped following an altercation in Mandurah yesterday (March 21).

Around 5.10pm, the 17-year-old and the 16-year-old boys were riding along Pinjarra Road when they were involved in a verbal altercation with the two people inside a white four wheel drive.

The disagreement continued onto Mary Street in Halls Head.

At the intersection of Finistere Island Retreat, the driver of the four wheel drive pulled up near the moped.

The passenger of the 4WD leant out of the car and grabbed hold of the 17-year-old pillion passenger, pulling him towards the four wheel drive.

The rider of the moped lost control, which caused it to crash.

Both the rider and passenger were thrown onto the road in front of oncoming traffic.

The four wheel drive failed to stop and drove away from the scene.

Both boys received abrasions to their arms, legs and hands.

The occupants of the four wheel drive are described as being in their early 20s, with olive complexions and of a solid build.

Anyone who can help is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online.
