More than luck as Murphy’s Irish Pub in Mandurah competes against world’s best

MURPHY’S Irish Pub in Mandurah is vying for the title of best Irish pub in the world.

The popular pub has made the finals of the Irish Pubs Global Federation awards in seven categories including Best Irish Pub, Bar Manager of the Year, Best Irish Whiskey Experience and Best Entertainment Experience.

Murphy’s marketing manager Vanessa Janiec said staff and patrons were “pretty excited” about the experience.

“Our customers voted for us,” she said.

“We hope to get as many of our team over to Dublin for the awards in October.”

Ms Janiec said Murphy’s was also a finalist in the Australian Hotels Association national awards, with the winners announced next month.
