MANDURAH pharmacist Mary Martella was named National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year at an awards ceremony in Sydney recently.

The award recognises the achievements of a Discount Drug Store pharmacy assistant who goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality, best practice healthcare services to the community.

Ms Martella was nominated by the Mandurah Discount Drug Store owners for her dedication to customers and commitment to the local community.

“As a pharmacy our ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on our customers’ wellbeing and nobody is more committed to this than Mary,” Greg Gardiner said.

“Not only is she on a first name basis with all our customers, but she is also passionately dedicated to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services as well.”

Ms Martella won out of a network of almost 2000 staff across over 145 stores to win the award.
