Noongar artist picked for Yaburgurt artwork

On Friday, Farmer hosted a workshop with the Mandurah Junior Council and other school students to get their thoughts and input on the project.

Their feedback, ideas and discussion will help guide and influence Farmer’s design of the artwork glass panels. The students created a design for one of the six glass panels on the memorial.

Yaburgurt was a Bibbulmum Noongar leader of the Bindjareb Boodja during the early European settlement of Mandurah and the surrounding area.
