AFTER much anticipation by students, parents and staff, Oakwood Primary School is about to open its doors to more than 400 students.

The $18.3 million facility will see students start the school year in brand new classrooms with a wide range of new facilities.

Oakwood opened for kindergarten and pre-primary students in 2018 and is extending to Year 6 in 2019.

The school has already built a strong reputation in the community.

The brand new facilities on offer include an art and craft room, activities area, music room, playing courts, covered assembly area and dental therapy.

Mandurah MLA David Templeman said the combination of high-quality facilities with excellent teaching staff would allow students to fulfil their full potential and excel during their time at Oakwood.

“I am very keen to see students start at Oakwood and look forward to watching the school grow and develop into the future,’’ he said.
