OCEAN Road Primary School teacher Joanne Harman was awarded a Highly Commended Award last night at the inaugural Peel Bright Minds ESTEAM awards.

She also made the finals in the Peel ESTEAM Champion of the Year Awards.

Mrs Harman is a science specialist and was also nominated for the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science Teaching award in recognition of her passion to bring out the best in her students and develop their inner scientist.
