THE City of Mandurah and WA Police won a Parks and Leisure Australia Regional Award for the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games.

Council won the Major Event of the Year category for the games.

The PLA Awards of Excellence were established to highlight the very high standard and range of best practice and innovation the parks and leisure industry has to offer.

The awards recognise and celebrate inspirational planning, projects and initiatives in our industry.

In 2019 there were a record number of nominees for the WA region (58), 11 categories, 33 judges and more than 220 representatives at the award ceremony.
