A SPEEDING driver caught in Mandurah today has given police a pretty paw excuse for breaking the law.

The driver was caught speeding on Gordon Road in Mandurah at 10.30am today, with police flagging them at more than 20 km/h over the speed limit.

WA Police Traffic posted a shot of the ticket on Twitter.

The reason given to officers was “I am taking my dog to get her nails clipped and am running late”.

No word at this stage as to whether the dog actually got her nails clipped in the end.
