Peel Bright Minds seeks volunteers

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

PEEL Bright Minds is a new initiative that focuses on inspiring a curious community and culture of lifelong learning to make sure the community is prepared for the future world and workforce.

Since earlier this year, Peel Bright Minds have been delivering engaging activities in the region around entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, arts and maths with highlights including a Science Caf series and ESTEAM awards.

The group is seeking volunteers of all ages and backgrounds who live and work in the Peel, particularly young people and students.

“We want to bring together an active community of volunteers who are keen to share their passion with others,’’ coordinator Charlie Jones said.

Selected volunteers will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities by participating in one of two committees.

The first focuses on communications and media such as writing blogs, taking photographs and videos or making podcasts.

The second will be responsible for designing and delivering new ESTEAM activities for all ages.
