Peel Region Western Ringtail Possum Action Group starting

THE inaugural Peel Region Western Ringtail Possum Action Group meeting is on Saturday night.

The aim of the group will be to monitor ringtail populations in various locations at Dawesville and Wannanup one day or night a month.

Group members will also map ringtail populations and network with the southern region ringtail groups.

There will be workshops on DNA collection, drey building, building a possum bridge, monitoring, mapping, wildlife film nights and talks on ringtails.

The topic on Saturday night will be ‘Are you sharing your backyard with a ringtail possum?’
