ABOUT 260 women attended Peel Thunder Ladies Day at Bendigo Bank Stadium on Saturday.

The event featured auctions and guest speaker Matthew Correia, from Ronald McDonald House.

Mr Correia spoke about the work Ronald McDonald House does for families of sick children.

Peel Thunder Football Club Ladies Committee chairwoman Corinn Ditchburn said money raised from the event would provide a family with a sick child accommodation for 30 nights.

The event was supported by McDonald’s in Lakelands and Greenfields.

Many local businesses also donated prizes for the raffle.
