Peel Thunder player taking part in World’s Greatest Shave

PEEL Thunder player Shani Garrod (17) will be lopping her locks for a good cause at the football club this Thursday.

She will have her head shaved as part of the World’s Greatest Shave to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

“I’ve been talking about and planning to shave the half-a-head of hair I still have,” she said.

“This is something I’ve honestly always wanted to do and thought rather than just doing it for myself, I should |make it worthwhile and do it for something so much bigger.”

Shani will have her head shaved with her teammates watching on in support.

She has raised more than $300.
