Council received four written objections and one letter of no objection to the proposal. Those opposing the pole cited a possible reduction in property values, a detrimental impact on the amenity of the area and concern about health risks.

The report to council recommended granting approval to the proposed facility to ensure the telecommunication needs of the community can be met in the area around the proposed development.

The report recommended additional vegetation be provided between the proposed towerand the street to add screening and reduce the visual impact.
