Plans for 3.1km path along Pinjarra Rd into Pinjarra town centre

THERE are plans for a 3.1km shared path along Pinjarra Road in the Shire of Murray connecting residential areas to the Pinjarra town centre after a Department of Transport grant.

The State Government pledged $4.1 million to be shared across 37 local governments.

Transport Minister Bill Marmion said the funding assistance would be used for cycling infrastructure and the development of bicycle plans.

“This funding into WA’s cycling network ensures local infrastructure and facilities meet the needs of the state’s growing cycling community,” he said.

“The investment will see the creation of 20km of shared paths which will separate cyclists from motorists, making life easier and safer for both cyclists and vehicle drivers.”
