Police appeal for witnesses after a man (56) was punched and hit his head on the pavement in Falcon

A YOUTH punched a 56-year-old man in the head, causing him to fall and hit his head on the pavement in Falcon on Sunday, July 9.

Mandurah Detectives said the man was walking along Cobblers Road at 9.15pm when a male teenager approached him and asked for a cigarette.

They spoke for a time before the youth demanded money from the man.

When he said he did not have any, the teenager punched him to the head, causing him to fall to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement.

The youth was last seen walking along Cobblers Street towards Koolinda Street.

He was described as aged between 14 and 16 years of age with dark skin, about 178cm tall, medium to solid build and black wavy hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark- coloured pants and a gold cross earring in his left ear.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident or who lives in the area and has CCTV of the incident.
