Police attend two violent incidents in Mandurah over the weekend

POLICE were kept busy over the weekend after two violent incidents in Mandurah on Sunday.

Two Mandurah boys were robbed and threatened at McDonalds in the afternoon and a woman was assaulted and had her car stolen in Lakelands in the morning.

Police have charged a 12-year-old boy after he was allegedly involved in an incident where two 12-year-old boys demanded cash inside the men’s toilet at McDonalds on Pinjarra Road.

It is alleged at 3pm the Mandurah victims were at McDonalds restaurant. After paying for a meal they went to the toilet.

Police said once the two 12-year-olds were inside, they were approached by two people who stood in their path and prevented them from leaving the toilet and demanded money.

One of the victims handed over $2 and the other victim handed over $15 from his pocket.

Police claim the two people took the money and then threatened to bash the two victims, who did not resist.

Mandurah Police attended and spoke to the victims.

A 12-year-old was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery after police watched CCTV footage.

Police investigations are continuing.

A Singleton woman who was involved in a violent assault and carjacking incident in Lakelands at 1.45am.

She sustained a broken finger, cuts, grazes and bruising.

The woman attended a party in Secret Harbour and two men asked her to drive them home.

The woman obliged and drove the two men in her Mazda sedan.

One of the men asked the woman to stop at the intersection of Kerkeri Heights and Winslow Crescent.

The man allegedly pushed the woman up against the door frame and reached over and took her ignition keys.

Police said the man then dragged the woman from the car where she was punched, kicked and kneed to the head, face and abdomen and her vehicle was stolen.

The woman ran to a nearby house and the occupants called police.

She received treatment for her injuries.

Mandurah Police and Rockingham detectives attended the scene.

The woman’s vehicle was recovered on Sunday afternoon.
