Police charge man over Barragup home invasion

POLICE have charged a man over an alleged home invasion in Barragup in which three people were injured.

Police allege a group of people forced entry into the home about 10.15pm on Saturday, assaulting the three occupants who were all taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.

An 18-year-old Maddington man was taken into custody at a residence in Rockingham yesterday afternoon.

He has been charged with aggravated home burglary and commit, two counts of intent to do grievous bodily harm, aggravated assault causing bodily harm, possessing a prohibited drug and possessing drug paraphernalia.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 29 January 2019.
