Police charge suspected armed robbers

THREE men have been charged and will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court this morning after a series of armed robberies on Tuesday.

An ongoing investigation by Mandurah Detectives, with the assistance of Mandurah Police and Rockingham Detectives, resulted in search warrants being executed on homes in Hackett Street, Stewart Street and Wyeree Road in Mandurah.

Police allege during the search warrants they located and seized a number of items of interest including stolen property, firearms and ammunition.

A 27-year-old Mandurah man has been charged with aggravated burglary and commit stealing, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, driving recklessly, reckless driving to escape, duty to stop after an accident, unauthorised driving by a learner driver and possessing a prohibited drug - methyl amphetamine.

A 32-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with burglary and commit stealing, stealing a motor vehicle and breach of bail.

A 43-year-old Mandurah man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on charges of possessing an unlicensed firearm - shotguns, possessing unlicensed ammunition, possessing a controlled weapon and possessing a prohibited weapon.
